Thank You For Raising Your Glass!
We are happy to be heading into the new year with so much community support!
Our crew hit the ground running on Giving Tuesday with an early start at Niedlovs Breadworks. The place was packed and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces enjoying coffee and breakfast treats while supporting Glass Street. We brought our laptops and managed to get some work done too while visiting with and thanking our supporters in person.
Before we knew it it was lunch time and our tour continued to Southern Star for a great meal. Again, packed! We were joined by some of our board members and friends and enjoyed raising our sweet tea glasses together in support of Glass Street. After lunch, we headed to the downtown location of Southern Sqweeze to meet more supporters who were having a healthy midday break with us. We raised our ginger shot glasses to Glass Street and were reinvigorated to take on the rest of the day.
Of course we had a blast in the West Village that evening for happy hour and dinner. This exciting new part of downtown is a really fun destination and we are so grateful the neighborhood has embraced Glass House Collective by coming on as a Giving Tuesday partner this year. It was so encouraging to see our supporters raising their margarita glasses to Glass Street at Citon et Sel, and enjoying dinner at Old Gilman Grill and Alimentari well into the night.
By the end of the day were were tired and inspired.
After our partner locations donated a percentage of their sales that day to GHC, a local generous donor matched those totals. Plus we were able to add on a global match from Facebook making Giving Tuesday 2018 our most successful yet!
We are so grateful to everyone who came out to raise a glass with us!
Thank you especially to our #CHAgives partners for 2018, including Niedlovs Breadworks, Southern Star, Southern Sqweeze, The West Village, Alimentari, Citron et Sel, and Old Gilman Grill.
