AIA Conference on Glass Street

We are excited that the statewide meeting for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will be held in Chattanooga this July! Part of the conference will include the Urban Design Workshop: Glass Street Revitalization.

The Urban Design Workshops: Glass Street Revitalization will focus on visitors and locals working together in charettes – tapping directly into the revitalization efforts on Glass Street.

Teams with special guest facilitators are comprised of conference attendees and individuals with a diverse set of backgrounds and professional expertise, local and regional knowledge. The goal for this two-part event is to inspire people – both designers and the general public – and bring them together around a platform to exchange knowledge and produce actionable ideas.

We will keep you posted with progress on this project. Right now, we are looking for volunteers willing to join teams- community members, municipal representatives, local experts, and architects are needed. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 25th from 8:30- 12.
