Glass Street 3D
How can 3D models change the way people see a neighborhood? Glass House had the opportunity to find out by partnering with artist Wes Mohney, who rendered models of Glass Street’s buildings in Google 3D. Google 3D is a new element of the Google Earth platform, like Google Maps and Google Street View. It allows you to see not only the layout of streets and buildings, but even their architectural details and textures from almost any angle. By adding Glass Street to the Market3D initiative started in 2009, anyone in the world can see how Glass Street fits into the larger fabric of the city, while envisioning the historic character of the buildings up close and personal. Thanks to the Glass House 3D project, it’s easier than ever to create a new vision for the neighborhood.
