Good Neighbor Network & The Little Free Library
The Good Neighbor Network and the Chattanooga Police Department partnered to create and install this Little Free Library in the Glass Street Community space on the corner of Glass Street and North Chamberlin. The group came up with the name “Cabooks” while playing homage to the railroad museum a few blocks away.
The group repurposed most of the materials for the project and the Chattanooga Police Department donated dollars and time. The public reveal for the Little Free Library was last Saturday, August 16th. We have received donated books by several members from the community and would love more. Books can be dropped off at 2523 Glass Street. As of today, a handful of books that have been “checked out”. We hope to see more in the hands of neighbors.
Glass House Collective would like to thank our committed neighbors for spending so much time creating and installing this incredible library. We love the “Cabooks” theme and appreciate the group incorporating East Chattanooga’s history into this functional piece of artwork.
Thank you to everyone who made this project possible. It’s incredible to hear an idea thrown out in a meeting and see it all unfold without any support from the Glass House Collective—TRUE leadership coming for this group!
