Mother’s Day Workshop
Studio Everything held a Mother’s Day Gift Making Studio on Saturday, May 3rd from 11am- 4pm. Thirteen kids between the ages of 7 and 15 attended. Rondell Crier was the lead artist for the event and hired two peer mentors for the day.
Asia was one of the peer mentors and spent the day instructing the process of glass fusing which involves cutting and assembling glass for firing. They made glass pendants, charms, and broaches for their mothers.
Lanisha led a demonstration showing how to make beads through a lamp-working process.
Fair Shares Grow Hope Farm donated plants and veggies for the workshop. Studio Everything cut and prepared the wood ahead of time and let the participants cut wood and place little add-on’s to the planters as well as plant their flowers or vegetables.

Asia’s favorite part of the day was seeing everyone smile. She said, ” I enjoyed teaching my neighbors how to make glass and be able to give their mom something special for Mother’s Day.”
